Sue Kershaw - Children's Centre Manager

Sue became Children's Centre Manager in September 2007 and has been fortunate to work closely with Sure Start to ensure the developments of the Chidlren's Centre at Gorse Hill.      

 Becky Thompson - Deputy Centre Manager

Becky joined the team at Gorse Hill in April 2009.  Becky oversees the day to day running of the Centre and coordinates all the group sessions and adult learning.

Ros Ginger - Senior Family Support Worker

Ros is based at Gorse Hill and has a joint role as SFSW within the Children's Centre and Every Child Matters Coordinator in the Infant and Nursery School.  She is a very experienced early years worker having worked in the past as a nanny and a support assistant for a child with a disability.  Ros also supports Barry Cushion in running our Saturdads sessions

Gill Cushion - Family Support Worker

Gill became  a full time FSW  in September 2009 having worked at Gorse Hill for many years as a Specialist Teaching Assistant.  She runs a range of groups and also links closely with our Health Visitor partners in their clinic on Tuesday afternoons at Gorse Hill Children's Centre.

Mel Bond - Family Support Worker

Mel works part time on Mondays. Tuesdays and Wednesdays.  She supports Gill in the running of the Health Clinic and is due to start group work at the centre later this year.

Kirty - Family Support Worker (Money matters)

Kirty is due to start her post at Gorse Hill in September 2009..  Kirty will work with all the groups within the centre and will be available to support parents with understanding their benefits and allowances. 

 Barry Cushion - Play Worker

Barry works closely with the Centre Staff to support play work in both our After School Club. He also supports our Family Support Workers with the Saturdads provision.

Sarah Summers - Creche Leader

Sarah is our Creche Leader and is passionate about supporting parents and other professionals in child development and learning in the under fives.  She holds Early Years Practitioner Status and is keen to work with other nursery settings and childminders to develop excellent delivery of the Early Years Foundation Stage by our partners within our reach area.

Creche Assistants
 Sarah Summers has a range of assistants for the numerous creches we offer.  All of them have or are studying towards an Early Years aualification.
